Don Singer is coordinating two trips this winter to the Dolomites Italy and Morzine France. The Italy trip is sold out, but there is still room for the France trip. Don will be holding an information session on Wednesday September 11th at the Nepean sailing club from 6:30-7:30pm.
Don Singer is putting the final touches on two fantastic European ski week opportunities for Bytown Ski Club next winter. See our trip page on this website for details.
The final details of the trips will be populated onto the Touringhouse web site in the near future, well before the opening of trip registrations at 9:00 am on Tuesday August 13, 2024. With the limited number of hotel rooms and well priced all inclusive packages, as in recent years we expect that these trips will be likely be sold out shortly after registration opens, so if you are seriously interested, please do not hesitate too long to register. We will have a trip information meeting on Wednesday September 11 at 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Nepean Sailing Club.
The two Bytown 2025 winter ski vacations are:
Once the final information, prices, application forms and optional insurance is posted onto the Touringhouse web site “www.touringhoiuse.com”, we will make an update reference on the Bytown Ski Club web site So look for this in mid-July.
Our bus trip to Tremblant on Sunday March 17th (St Patrick’s Day) is a go. This will be our last bus trip of the year. We’ll be giving out lots of snacks and drinking is allowed on the bus. There is still plenty of room and registration is open by going to our powerup page: https://bytownskiclub.powerupsports.com/. Additional details on our website’s trips page.
Our happy group of fifty-three skiers and snow boarders have all returned safely from our marvelous week in the Saalbach Austria region.
Check out this YOUTUBE video link for some further memories: https://youtu.be/yaO7gTh_8SE. A full trip report is on our website’s trips page.
Thanks to everyone who participated in living and sharing together the dream of an active healthy social vacation experience. We all have fond memories of an awesome week together in the Alps of Austria. Until the next time, Wiedersehn.

Due to low signups and warm weather this season we will be cancelling our last bus trip in April. Those who registered can switch to the March trip or get a full refund.
Our day trip up to Tremblant on Friday February 16th is on. Registration is sold out. Trip details are listed on our trips page. An email will go out the week before to everyone registered.
Registration for our March and April trips is still open.
In order to give more time to our members we’ve decided to extend the discounts on our bus trips for another month. $15 off each bus trip if booked in November, and $5 each bus trip if booked in December. In addition, everyone who books a bus trip will be given a $10 credit to offset the cost of ski club membership.
With the discounts our bus trip prices will be the lowest in town this year and we will be running each bus trip at a slight loss, however we really want to make sure the buses run this year so are discounting as much as possible. We will also provide free snacks again this year on each bus trip.
Registration is now open for members to renew their membership for the upcoming season. To renew your membership log into powerup (https://bytownskiclub.powerupsports.com/) and add the item to your cart.
We have finalized our trip plan for the year and will be running 4 bus trips to Tremblant – one each month from January to April. Registration is open now.
To purchase tickets login to our powerup page: https://bytownskiclub.powerupsports.com/. Tremblant has increased the price to ski this year by a bit. This year the exec made a decision to subsidize our bus trips by offering big discounts to those who register early:
Discounts are available on a first come first serve basis and buses may sell out.
Lastly, every year we do a survey on how to improve the trips, and every year we hear that’d you’d like a pickup location with parking closer to the downtown. Starting this year, we have invited members of the RA Ski Club to join us on our buses, and will be adding a stop at the RA Centre (2451 Riverside Drive) with free parking.
Mont Cascades has offered a club discount of 10% off daily lift passes, and a discounted price of $325 (taxes included) for their White Nights Adult ski program which includes 7 instructor classes and a 5/7 season pass. Still a great deal. Simply mention you’re a Bytown ski club member when registering by phone with them.
