All resorts offer fully qualified instructors for all courses. Lessons are offered at all levels or all skiers and boarders from “first timers” to “experts who don’t think they need lessons”. For the intermediate and advanced skiers there are also programs for racing instruction. All participants in the lessons programs will be grouped into classes with other skiers/boarders of like ability. Sadly the local ski hills no longer offer discount lesson packages to the ski clubs, so we cannot offer any. The hill may still offer discounts on lessons purchased from the ski hill directly to club members. You can look at the discounts page to see.
PLEASE NOTE:
- When applying for skiing lessons, please use Ability Levels as follows:
- Level 1, never skied/boarded
- Level 2, beginners
- Level 3, novice
- Level 4, intermediate
- Level 5, advanced
- All application forms must be sent to the ski club! Bytown Ski Club prices are not valid at the ski hills.
- Check the application due date.
- Prices include taxes unless otherwise indicated.
Night Lessons Introduction
The Bytown Ski Club night lessons are for adults only. (ie. 18 years+) These lessons offer the best value of all our lessons programs. The lessons are exactly the same as the weekend programs, we just get a better price on them because the ski areas want to encourage people to come to the hills during the evenings. Participants in all night programs are required to select one night of the week, Tuesday through Friday (some restrictions apply), on which they will be able to attend lessons for the duration of the program. Lessons usually start at 7:30pm, and run for 1.5 to 2 hours.
For details on night programs, see Ski Vorlage, or Mont Cascades.
Weekend Lessons Introduction
The Bytown Ski Club weekend lessons are for both adults and children. Weekend lessons for children and adults are coordinated to start and end at approximately the same times. This is done to enable the parents, who wish to take lessons of their own, the option of taking them at the same time as the child. In addition to grouping by ability, children’s lessons are also grouped by age.
Participants in all weekend programs are required to select one day of the weekend, Saturday or Sunday (some restrictions apply), on which they will be able to attend lessons for the duration of the program. Lessons start at various times, and run for 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the resort.
For details on weekend programs, see Ski Vorlage.
Adult Midweek Lessons
A six week program, one 1½ hour lesson each consecutive Wednesday at 1 pm. Includes lunch before the lesson. A great way to learn, have fun and socialize.
For details on adult mid-week lessons, see Ski Vorlage.
